Something Is Lost and Must Be Found

Jane spends her work day interviewing clients in need of various types of assistance.  It’s a Friday and she’s got a busy weekend ahead.  As she goes to leave for the night, she discovers that her wallet and cell phone are missing.  She is suddenly without everything she needs and enlists the help of her husband and a co-worker.

As I read this chapter, I couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow and think, “Really God?”  Just last night, my own wallet went missing in a Wal-Mart parking lot and I had resigned myself to never seeing it again.  After driving back to the store about an hour later I was pleasantly surprised that someone had turned it in and nothing had been taken.  Its nice to know that I had been shopping with some honest people.

  1. Have you ever lost something of great value?
  2. How did you respond?
