Another Day in Paradise by Phil Collins

Most days after work I go home to my recliner, closet of clothing, and freezer full of food.  I don’t even think about it because it’s the life that everyone I know is fortunate to have.  It’s easy to take simple daily things like clean clothes for granted because I’ve never been without them.  In this song, Phil Collins is challenging us to look at those who are not as fortunate and to “think twice” about how blessed we are.  It’s quite possible that we see people who do without these luxuries and are not aware of their plight or struggles.  If you’d like to learn more about serving the less fortunate, visit www.joppa.com to find out more about their services for the homeless in the Des Moines area.
