Our Staff
Faye Akers
As program development coordinator, Faye’s responsibilities include:
- communications with regional parish faith formation staff
- planning and coordination of the Center’s adult faith formation events
- program design, development and implementation
- creation of promotional materials for the Center
- content and technical management of the Center’s website
- office administrative support and oversight
Faye and her husband, Kevin, have four children and are parishioners at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Parish in Des Moines. Faye has served as a catechist for many years, and currently teaches faith formation classes and serves on the Faith Formation Council at St. Theresa’s. Her previous employment includes 17 years experience as an instructional designer, trainer, writer and consultant. She has a BFA in Speech Communications from Drake University.
